What is RTP (Return to Player)?

RTP is the percentage of total money wagered on a game that is paid back to players over time. For example, a slot with 96% RTP means that for every Rp 100.000 wagered across all players collectively, the game will pay out Rp 96.000 in winnings over the long term. The remaining Rp 4.000 (4%) is the house edge - the casino's theoretical profit.

Important: RTP is calculated over millions of spins and represents long-term statistical probability. In a single session, you can win more or less than the RTP suggests. A game with 96% RTP can still produce a 500x win on your first spin, or you could lose ten spins in a row. RTP predicts aggregate behavior, not individual results.

Typical RTP by Game Type

Slots: 92% - 98% RTP (most online slots fall in the 95-96% range)

Blackjack: 99%+ with optimal strategy (as low as 97% with poor play)

Roulette (European): 97.3% (single zero wheel)

Roulette (American): 94.7% (double zero wheel - avoid if possible)

Baccarat: 98.9% on Banker bet, 98.8% on Player bet

Craps: 98.6% on Pass/Don't Pass line bets

What is House Edge?

House edge is the mathematical advantage the casino holds over players, expressed as a percentage. It's simply 100% minus the RTP. A game with 96% RTP has a 4% house edge. This edge ensures the casino remains profitable long-term while still paying out substantial wins to individual players.

Lower house edge = better odds for the player. Games like Blackjack (1% or less with good strategy) and Baccarat (1.06% on Banker) offer some of the best odds in the casino. Slots have higher house edge (typically 4-8%) but compensate with entertainment value, bonus features, and jackpot potential.

Why Understanding RTP Matters

Knowing RTP helps you choose games that align with your playing style and bankroll management strategy. If you're playing with a limited budget and want longer sessions, choose games with higher RTP like Blackjack or European Roulette. If you're chasing a big jackpot and accept higher risk, progressive slots (often 94-95% RTP) offer that potential.

Transparency is key: nos79 displays RTP information for every game in our lobby. Check the game's info panel before playing. Remember that RTP applies over millions of rounds - your actual session results will vary. Set loss limits before playing, never chase losses, and treat gambling as entertainment with a cost, not an income source.

Deposit Limits

Set daily, weekly, or monthly deposit limits to control how much money you can add to your account. Once you reach your limit, you cannot deposit again until the time period resets. Limits can be decreased immediately but increases require a 24-hour cooling-off period.

Loss Limits

Specify the maximum amount you're willing to lose in a day, week, or month. When you hit your loss limit, you can no longer place bets until the period resets. Loss limits help prevent chasing losses during unlucky sessions.

Session Time Limits

Set a maximum playing time per session (e.g., 2 hours). When your time limit is reached, you'll be automatically logged out. This prevents marathon gambling sessions that can lead to fatigue and poor decision-making.

Reality Check Reminders

Receive pop-up reminders showing how long you've been playing and your net win/loss for the session. Reality checks help you stay aware of time and money spent, allowing you to make conscious decisions about whether to continue.

Self-Exclusion

Temporarily or permanently block access to your nos79 account if you feel gambling is becoming a problem. Self-exclusion periods range from 24 hours to 6 months, or permanent closure. During exclusion, you cannot log in, deposit, or play - no exceptions.

Self-Assessment Quiz

Take our confidential quiz to evaluate your gambling behavior and identify potential warning signs of problem gambling. The quiz is based on clinical criteria and provides personalized feedback and resource recommendations.
